Death Row Inmate Richard Glossip Claims That If Police Had Done A Proper Investigation, ‘I Wouldn’t Have Lost So Much Of My Life’
After 23 years on death row, Richard Glossip, an inmate at Oklahoma Prison, said he went to the death station three times to await his execution. He was granted a stay of execution each time because of concerns about the state's injection killing protocol. Glossip, 58, who was convicted of first degree murder in 1998, says he was falsely accused of telling colleague Justin Sneed in 1997 to kill their then boss, Oklahoma City motel owner Barry Van Treese, who gave Sneed admitted to killing Van Treese and was sentenced to life imprisonment. In a recent telephone interview with Dr. Phil alleged Richard Glossip that investigators dropped his name during Justin Sneed's police interrogation until Sneed "put my name in this mess". He claims that if the police had carried out a proper investigation from the start, “I would not have lost so much of my life.
