Donald Trump Did Not in Fact Win This Year's Nobel Peace Prize

Well-known Emmy driver Donald Trump once again has to be content with the honor of being nominated.
It was announced on Friday that the president had not won a Nobel Peace Prize, although repeated nominations from supporters kept his dream alive.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee instead selected the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), a humanitarian organization that focuses on caring for the hungry, as the recipient of the 2020 Peace Prize.
This isn't Trump's first impression of Nobel Failure: In 2018, he also lost the prestigious award, likening the defeat to being stripped of an Emmy award for his former hit reality show The Apprentice.
Trump has been nominated for a Nobel Prize multiple times - in 2018 after meeting North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in Singapore in 2018, and again in 2020 for what admirers referred to as his work on normalizing relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and his anti-war tendencies .
Nominations are not necessarily noteworthy on their own - numerous politicians, academics, and others qualify to submit nominations - but even the significant coverage attracted by Trump's nod was apparently unsatisfactory.

"So I tune in to NBC with Lester Holt, another beauty, and they start with a hurricane, and then they go to something and something else, and I say, 'First Lady, this gets a little embarrassing at 20 minutes after a half-hour show they didn't mention the Nobel Peace Prize, "Trump said at a rally in Ohio in September.
"And then it went through the whole show and they never mentioned it," he continued. "And then I got nominated for a second and they never mentioned it. And when Barack Obama, Barack Hussein Obama was nominated, no, when Barack Hussein Obama was nominated, he didn't know why he was nominated."

Former President Barack Obama naturally won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.
That year, Trump's rival Joe Biden was also nominated for a Nobel Prize, but was not the winner either.
And while he has labeled the Nobel Prize selection process "rigged" (with no evidence other than the fact that he didn't win the award), Trump has also repeatedly argued that he deserves to win one.
