Donald Trump's Return from Disappointing Tulsa Rally Gets Meme'd as 'Walk of Shame'

President Donald Trump bore the brunt of his critics' recent meme after being absent from his campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, Trump was filmed when he returned from the event to the White House, which resulted in a much lower attendance than expected.
The 74-year-old Trump had expected a full audience in the Bank of Oklahoma Center, which can accommodate a total of 19,000 guests. However, photos from the event show that most of the seats in the upper decks of the arena remained empty.
The Tulsa fire department said fewer than 6,200 people took part in Trump's campaign, according to The Hill.
The president's footage after the rally showed him alone and with a tie removed, which critics mocked as a depressed "walk of shame".
Some even added music over the clip, with songs like "I want to know what love is" by Foreigner and "Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel.
"This is an expression of defeat. This is the real #WalkofShame. It is wonderful to see," wrote one user when a second captioned the video, "I just want to cry in MyPillow."

Before the Saturday rally, the president tweeted that there had been almost a million ticket requests.
However, after the small number of visitors, some speculated that this was due to "ticket hacking" by young TikTok users and K-Pop fans who, according to The New York Times, allegedly gathered behind calls to reserve tickets for the rally, but then not to go.
Trump's campaign manager for 2020, Brad Parscale, denied in a statement from PEOPLE on Sunday that these RSVPs "had an impact on participation in the rally."
"When you signed up for a rally, you replied with a cell phone number and we kept sorting out the wrong numbers, like we did at the Tulsa rally with tens of thousands to calculate our possible pool of participants. These wrong ticket requests never flow into ours Think one, ”Parscale wrote, noting that prior registration was not required to get a seat because the rally was widely recognized.

Parscale also claimed the lower turnout was due to "fake news media warning people of the rally over COVID and demonstrators, along with recent pictures of burning American cities." A Trump campaign official also told CNN that "we had legitimate 300,000 Republicans who voted in the last four elections."
Although Trump's campaign spoke critically about new concerns about the corona virus, the indoor event may have exposed participants to the virus - a fact the Trump campaign recognized when participants signed a waiver that prevented them from complaining, if tested positive for COVID-19, the coronavirus, disease afterwards.
In addition, according to the Associated Press, six Trump employees who helped build the rally tested positive for COVID-19 before the event. Tim Murtaugh, the campaign's communications director, said that "quarantine procedures" had been followed and that the sick people would not attend.
Before taking part, the rally participants reportedly had the opportunity to have their temperatures checked and to receive masks and hand sanitizers for the major indoor event. During the event, many did not appear to be wearing face masks despite concerns about the corona virus.
Trump himself wasn't wearing a face mask.
When the president spoke about coronavirus testing during the rally, he asked his team to "slow down the testing" and added, "If you test to this extent, you will find more people who will find you." More cases. So I said to my people, "Please slow down the tests." You test and test them. "
According to the NBC, Trump was reportedly "angry" at the "overwhelming" crowd at his rally, according to several people near the White House. He was also annoyed by his employees, who revealed that six employees had tested positive because the news dominated media coverage before his rally.
Some sources also claimed that Trump "shouted" at backstage adjutants when he saw how low the turnout was, the New York Times reported on Sunday.
Citing a campaign source, CNN reported that the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, both senior advisors, were "pissed" at his campaign manager. A Kushner spokesman denied this to the network.
