Drake is No Longer 'Hiding My Kid From the World' — See His Sweet 3rd Birthday Tribute

Drake made waves in 2018 when he announced the existence of his son Adonis via lyrics on his Scorpion album - more precisely the song “14. March". "I didn't hide my child from the world / I hid the world from my child," he says on the track. "The child is mine / Sandi always told me that it only takes once / Sh * t, we only met twice. Twice, ”the song continues. It was the first time he publicly recognized Adonis, whom he shares with former adult film star Sophie Brusseau.
But nowadays Drake does anything but hide his love and admiration for his now three year old son. In honor of Adonis' third birthday this weekend, Drake took to Instagram to share the (space-related!) Celebration with his followers.
"Young Stunna," Drake signed a photo of him and Adonis enjoying some festive ground time surrounded by a ton of black, white, silver, and star-shaped balloons. And is that ... a moon balloon that we see? Can we borrow this surprisingly elegant sky decor for our own birthdays? Many Thanks.
The whole family actually got involved in the action via Instagram. Mother Brusseau wrote: “Joyeux anniversaire mon amoureux! 3 years ago I finally met you for the first time after a long 24-hour work. I'm so proud of the little man you become, I love you more than life. The world is Yours! We did the @champagnepapi, ”she concluded, tagging Drake with a heart-in-a-bow emoji. Aww, co-parenting done right!
Another family member who stepped in to celebrate Lil 'Adonis was Grandpa: Drake's dad Dennis Graham, who wrote, “Happy birthday, my little pride and joy, I love you little guy, you make me a lot proud to see that you are the one to carry on the Graham tradition. "
Of course, if Drake had continued to "hide the world from [his] child," we would have fully understood that. Fame isn't easy, especially for kids in the spotlight - one reason so many celebrity parents keep their baby news a secret.
That said, we have to admit that we're pretty excited to get these sweet glimpses of Adonis after Drake started sharing a little bit about his son's life with the public. It is clear that this is a very beloved child.
We love these children's books that help black and brown boys like Adonis feel seen - because representation is important.
