Draymond Green compares Luka Doncic to LeBron James

With a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals, the Golden State Warriors are nearing their sixth trip to the NBA Finals in the last eight seasons.
They play the Dallas Mavericks, a team featuring Luka Doncic, one of the game's newest and biggest sensations.
Doncic has become a force to be reckoned with because he's a 6-foot-7 point guard who can score tons of points in a variety of ways, get his teammates to open shots and grab a lot of rebounds.
Warriors forward Draymond Green says Doncic is very similar to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, although there are some differences.

“Speaking of Luka Doncic and LeBron James and the comparisons that are made to those two guys. One of the main, glaring similarities that you will notice is how these two guys can manipulate a defense, how these two guys can control the tempo of a game. They are very similar in size, in their ability to pass and in the way they can press on the rim and pressure on the defense and with the vision that they have. There aren't many people in this league who can control a game or control the pace and pace of a game like that.
“Where I think they differ is that Bron will use more transition opportunities where Luka kinda doesn't unless it's just a full runout. I also think that Luka, such a great passer as he is and loves to pass basketball, I think Luka is looking for his shot a little bit more than LeBron. Now LeBron is overly aggressive at times, but more often than not he goes through first. Luka is also the first pass sometimes, but he's trying to score more than LeBron on those occasions, from a possession-to-possession situation.
"They definitely have similarities and then you look up and it all makes sense. Luka has consistently said that LeBron was his favorite player growing up. And then you're actually blessed with that size that Luka has, it all makes sense why there's similarities there because they're definitely there and it feels a lot like playing against LeBron, against every possession of Luka to play.
While many people feel the Doncic-James comparisons, others believe the Slovenia native is a lot more like Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird.
Doncic plays a lot slower than James and lacks in athleticism, speed, explosiveness and bounce, but he has pretty much everything else Bird had.
Similar to Bird, Doncic seems to have a well-developed killer instinct.
Perhaps it's no coincidence that James recently said Doncic was his favorite young player in the NBA.
