Duck nails are having a moment, and the internet has mixed feelings

"Duck nails" are popping up all over social media and many people find them both beautiful and bizarre.
The fanned-out trendy nail shape, which resembles the shape of webbed duck feet, has been seen everywhere from Instagram to TikTok and is growing in popularity.
Many noticed the look of rapper Danielle Bregoli, better known as Bhad Bhabie's TikTok page, which featured pink duck nails along with cherry nail art, as well as a French manicure version of the look.
"I always thought duck nails were so cute they remind me of the early 2000s," she wrote of a video showing her manicure.
Since its release, Bhad Bhabie's French manicure style duck nails have been viewed more than 4 million times.

"I love the nails, I know why people have a problem with them," commented Comibre on Bhad Bhabie's contribution.
Another TikTokker stepped in and said, "That's a no from me ... but do what makes you happy."
Los Angeles-based photographer and stylist Casie Wendel is always on the lookout for the next big thing and recently tried a pink version of the look on a visit to Pampered Hands Nail Salon.

"I got my inspiration from wanting to be different," she told Good Morning America. “A lot of people don't understand these nails, but I think it's about shaking the norm. They should be extra and hilarious, that makes them maximalistic and iconic. "
Several eagle-eyed fans of the MTV reality show "Jersey Shore" have pointed out that the duck-nail shape was often worn by actress Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.

Telling GMA, nail enthusiast Yazmin remembers all of her aunts who wore duck or flared nails when she was in elementary school. "I was obsessed when I went to middle school my mom let me get her," she said.
"I also want to acknowledge the Black and Latina communities for inspiring this 90s / Y2K and I will continue to wear them whether people like them or not because the shape and creativity are phenomenal."

TikTok user Meowckenzie shared a video of her French manicure-style duck-shaped nails and said she was inspired by Bhad Bhabie.
"Duck nails have been in the industry for many years," said nail artist Stef Olivier to "GMA". She remembers one of her recent clients who wears duck-shaped nails and wanted to incorporate turquoise into her manicure.
Olivier added, "My brain started working and I've been thinking about the ocean since she went to the beach."

These "Hello Kitty" duck nails are extraordinary, lively and hard to miss.
