Eminem Apologizes To Rihanna On His Surprise New Studio Album
Eminem has released a new album to accompany his 11th studio album, "Music to be Murdered By".
The new album, entitled Music to be Murdered By - Side B, was released on Thursday at midnight. The album was produced by Eminem and longtime collaborator Dr. Dre produced, with appearances by DJ Premier, Ty Dolla $ ign and Sly Pyper.
Most of the attention to the 16 songs on the new album was drawn to a title featuring Zeus. In his lyrics, Eminem apologizes directly to fellow artist Rihanna for a lyric about Chris Brown that leaked in 2019. Eminem had written that he sided with Brown, who pleaded guilty to attacking Rhianna in 2009.
The new lyrics read: "But me, as long as I promise to be honest / And I apologize from the bottom of my heart, Rihanna," he raps. "I'm sorry for that song that leaked, Ri / It wasn't meant to cause you distress. Anyway, it was wrong of me."
Rihanna and Eminem have worked together several times, including on their hit Love the Way You Lie.
Earlier this month, Eminem appeared on Saturday Night Live in a Pete Davidson sketch parodying his song Stan.
