Erika Jayne responds to critic who shames her for shopping at T.J. Maxx

Contested Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne won't be ashamed of her range of stores to shop, especially on Twitter.
The divorcing reality star, 50, was greeted by paparazzi in T.J. Maxx on Tuesday with an arm full of clothes, a possibly unusual place for a woman who talked about spending tens of thousands of dollars a month on her outerwear in 2017.

That was apparently the opening some Twitter users needed, including one who claimed she was "smarter than this" when it came to where she chose her clothes. After a tweet from Jayne (who separated from husband Tom Girardi) and said: “I'm winning again”, John Reason wrote: “Shopping at TJMAXX…. with your assistant?…. Optik EJ .... you're smarter than that ... DO NOT win! "
To which Jayne replied, "I shopped there for years. I also went to Petco and Target. Stop analyzing my life."
Jayne's finances have been in the press since she and Girardi announced their split in November 2020; a month after the announcement, Girardi and his law firm Girardi Keese were sued in federal court for alleged embezzlement of funds intended to go to surviving relatives of the 2018 Lion Air 610 crash.
The lawsuit suggests that Jayne and Giardi's breakup is "a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom and Erika's money from those trying to collect debts from Tom and his law firm, GK."

The question of whether she goes to discount stores to save money or to publicize Girardi's bankruptcy should inspire some trolls on the Internet.
But it also has its followers. Teia S writes: "I don't understand why people think that people with money don't shop by goal ... sometimes you just want to go to the goal."
And Sheila wrote, “I shop in these places all the time and I still manage to look gorgeous.
Maxx's Twitter account, which has been silent since 2019, has not responded.
