Erin Burnett Takes Down 'Sycophant-In-Chief' Lindsey Graham
CNN's Erin Burnett attacked Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) On Monday for the reasons he was proposing to prevent President Donald Trump from suffering the aftermath of an insurrection in the U.S. Capitol.
"They're talking about unifying the country," Graham said in a message to President-elect Joe Biden on Fox News. Unless you oppose President Trump's impeachment after he resigns, you are an incredibly weak figure in American history. President Trump is trying to heal the nation. Impeachment after leaving office will continue to divide the country. "
It is unclear what evidence Graham has that Trump is trying to heal the nation. Trump has remained largely silent and has been out of sight since picking out a crowd of his supporters at the Capitol to stop confirming Biden's electoral college victory. He posted a taped video condemning the violence after being charged with incitement by the House.
"If you want to talk about weakness, Senator Graham might want to look in the mirror," Burnett said. "Because this is the definition of a weak figure in American history."
CNN then aired clips of Graham during Trump's 2015-2016 presidential election criticizing Trump as a candidate. And since then?
"Sen. Graham became President Trump's chief sycophant, ”Burnett said.
