I love risking my long term health and financial security to get a 1% chance of being smoked by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round

Then why continue the season? If every player did the same, you would say the same

Seriously tho. If you think it's okay to sit and watch your teammates play while you are perfectly healthy, it says a lot about you.

If you're not interested in the risks of playing in Orlando, give me your opinion next time too!

Fournier sounds like he takes care of the risks of playing in Orlando. That would explain how he looked after Bertans.
Players like Fournier will go to Disney World, live in less than ideal conditions, be at risk of corona viruses, and risk of injury. In this way, they protect their own salaries. They will also help the NBA maximize their earnings. This ensures that all players lose the lowest possible percentage of their salaries this season and that the salary cap for next year doesn't drop too far.
As a free agent in this off-season, Bertans will particularly benefit from a higher upper limit.
Still, he can stay home and still reap the rewards. It is not fair.
There is also no good way to get to this fair. Players in the eight completed teams receive all of the same rewards without playing. Unlike Bertans, they don't even have to sacrifice much of this year's salary. On the other hand, they have not asked for their seasons to be shortened.
Corona virus has led to numerous impossible decisions. That stinks. We should not demonize Fournier because he raised a legitimate point.
His biggest problem was getting his best point in a reply tweet surrounded by tweets that convey an old school mentality. Bertans is a free-rider, yes. But he benefits from everyone who plays, not just his teammates. Some things are more important than your basketball team.
If Bertans teammates feel disappointed, they have the right to feel that way. Team sports require buy-in and sacrifice. Players also deserve space to set their own priorities. It gets complicated.
But Wizards players can speak for themselves.
Fournier makes the very significant difference between players who are all outside and some individual players who are outside more convincing.
Bertans also makes a sensible request: day, not subtweet.
