Kim Kardashian's fans are urging her to speak out against Balenciaga after the brand was accused of sexualizing children in its latest Christmas campaign.
Comments on the reality star's latest Instagram posts have been filled with questions about her relationship with the luxury label since Saturday. Kardashian often wears Balenciaga to big events and has featured prominently in several of the brand's campaigns in the past.
The Skims founder posted a photo of herself wearing a shirt from Balenciaga's collaboration with Adidas on Instagram on Tuesday. As of Saturday, many of the post's top comments relate to the fashion house.
"Condemn Balenciaga, have you seen their ads? They have 4 children!" A user wrote in the comments.
On Tuesday, Balenciaga apologized for the ads that showed children holding teddy bear bags containing bondage gear. Also used in the images are documents relating to a Supreme Court ruling upholding a law criminalizing child sexual abuse images.
"We sincerely apologize for any offense our Christmas campaign may have caused. Our plush bear bags shouldn't have been featured with children in this campaign," the brand said in a statement shared on social media, adding that it has removed the images from all platforms and condemns the "abuse of children in any form." sharpest.
Kardashian's followers continued to comment on Balenciaga on Instagram photos of her sleeping children and her brand's holiday sales.
