Fans Love Zooey Deschanel Acting As Katy Perry In New Music Video: 'A Cultural Reset'
Katy Perry's new music video features a very familiar face that you can do a double shot with.
The singer dropped the video for her new song "Not the End of the World" Monday morning and fans were treated to an interstellar treat with none other than "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel.
In the video, a group of blue aliens accidentally kidnaps Deschanel when they were ordered to kidnap Perry - a riff about the physical similarities between a pop star and an actor (especially when both blue eyes, dark hair and blunt bangs were rocking).
Deschanel went into a similar appearance in 2009 and described the comparisons as "a bit annoying".
"The only similarity we have is that we look a bit alike," Deschanel said at the time, adding that she thought Perry was "a nice person" and she didn't think the singer was " going out and going "would be mistaken for me. "
It seems that this hassle is long gone as Deschanel fully understands how much the two look alike in this music video. And the fans absolutely loved it:
