Former Bush Official Lashes GOP For Supporting 'Delusional' And 'Unhinged' Trump

A former Bush administration official on Saturday beat up the Republicans for continuing to support an "awkward" and "delusional" Donald Trump and his twisted "fantasy" about a rigged presidential election.
Elise Jordan, an MSNBC political analyst who worked as a speechwriter for former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, said Trump was keen to create chaos for the GOP to block the results of democratic elections on Jan. 6 when the votes are suspended to be counted.
"Perhaps some of us in this world are fortunate enough to have friends who sit around pampering and comforting us when we are completely insane and awkward playing in fantasy wonderland," Jordan said on MSNBC. "These are the friends who are ready to play this game with Donald Trump now."
Jordan criticized Republicans for patiently playing "political candyland" as they "continue to pamper and promote Donald Trump's deception". She called it "so unhealthy for American democracy - and disrespectful to everything this republic is supposed to stand for".
CNN's Jake Tapper also tore up the president's support for "troubled conspiracy theories" over the election on Saturday.
In another explosion from Trump's side of the aisle, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) Described the president's continuing anger over his loss as "embarrassing".
"My God. I'm trying to burn the place down on the way out because you can't handle losing," Kinzinger tweeted, "No evidence, nothing but tantrums and crazy conspiracies."
He called the unsubstantiated complaints part of a "grip" that would allow Trump and his supporters "to raise money and gain followers by blaming everyone else knowing there is nothing they can do" to change the election. "It's sad and a complete fraud," added Kinzinger.
