Former UFC champion Miesha Tate may have pulled out of the fight in 2016, but she's still as tough as ever. How do we know Tate was unable to get her second child into the hospital because she had no choice but to deliver it to her partner at home.
Tate announced on Instagram on Sunday that her son Daxton Wylder Nuñez arrived safely but unexpectedly, and that Tate and her partner, MMA fighter Johnny Nuñez, apparently had no time to get to the hospital.
Today I became a mother again! The experience was incredible, we were planning a birth in the hospital, but our son had other plans!
Daxton Wylder Nuñez was born on June 14th at 8:20 am in our home. We welcomed our son as a family ..... it was completely imperfect and I am very happy!
I can't thank you enough @johnnyboymma you centered, focused and helped me give birth to our baby unexpectedly! I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for being my skirt.
Tate, who has lived and worked in Singapore since leaving UFC, wrote that she had planned to be born in the hospital but had failed to go into the details that led to the unexpected birth at home. She has posted several pictures of her new addition to Instagram, including one that appears to come from the newly expanded family just moments after Daxton's birth.
Tate and Nuñez have a daughter, Amaia Nevaeh Nuñez, who was born in June 2018.
