Freddie Gibbs Reacts to Instagram Banning Him: ‘End of an Era’

In the immortal words of gangster Gibbs himself: "D'Fuck ?!"
On Monday, Freddie Gibbs announced on Twitter that his infamous Instagram page had been banned.
It's unclear why Facebook Inc. removed Gibbs from Instagram, but as its followers know, Freddie is no stranger to policy violations. If a fan came across their Instagram stories, they wouldn't see the typical merch links, fan shout outs, or music previews that other artists post. Instead, they stumbled into a wormhole made of funny - but often crude - videos from the dark web. There's also no shortage of memes, battle clips and compilations and humor tailored to his Midwestern gang affiliations.
This atypical approach to social media has helped make Freddie's site a hidden gem on the social network. Now it seems like the rapper is forwarding his talents to Twitter (or other places) while waiting for Mark Zuckerberg & Co. to approve his account.
Fans also use social media in the hopes that Freddie will come back to the app.
It should be noted that this isn't the first time Freddie has been thrown off the gram. In March, he claimed Instagram called him personally to tell him he was banned.
