'Fuller House' Fans Are "Very Sad" and Upset About Lori Loughlin's Absence in Season 5
On June 2, part two of the fifth and final season of Fuller House premiered on Netflix.
In the episode entitled "Be Yourself, Free Yourself," Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) addresses Aunt Becky's (Lori Loughlin) absence by saying that she is in Nebraska with her mother.
Long-time fans were upset about Aunt Becky's excuse and subsequent absence.
Lori separated from Netflix in 2019. She pleaded guilty to conspiring for her role in the college admissions scandal last month.
Fuller House season 5 part two ended in a triple wedding that fans will never forget. But while D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) were happy about a great day. A full / fuller house character was noticeably M.I.A. - Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin).
As many know, Lori portrayed Aunt Becky in the original full house series that premiered in 1987. The beloved character's plot continued in the Netflix spin-off, but Loris Stint ended abruptly after the streaming service broke off actress relationships in March 2019.Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were indicted in the nationwide college-approval bribery scandal (im last month they pleaded guilty to the conspiracy).
To cope with Lori's exit from the show, Fuller House subtly referred to Aunt Becky's absence in the episode titled "Be Yourself, Free Yourself". Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) panics after his and Becky's daughter Pamela is bitten during a game date. He is frustrated when neither Pamela nor her teacher tell him who bit her, and he decides to start his own investigation.
"Don't you think you might want to head that up from Aunt Becky first?" D.J. asked after learning about her uncle's conspiracy.
"Becky is in Nebraska and helps with her mother," answered Uncle Jesse. "I don't want to bother her with a little thing like this."

After watching the exchange, fans immediately went to Twitter to share their thoughts on the excuse that came into play later when Becky was missing at the big wedding.
What's more, some called out that D.J. and Stephanie's younger sister Michelle (formerly played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in full house) was also not at the wedding. The twins declined the opportunity to repeat their shared role when Fuller House premiered in 2016.

"Aunt Becky and Michelle weren't at the DJ and Stephanie's wedding was very sad ... when I grew up with this family it's hard to believe it would happen," added another.
Despite the disappointment, some viewers remained positive. "In my mind, Aunt Becky was there for these girls at the wedding, we just didn't see them. She wouldn't have missed it for the world," tweeted a fan.
