Gabrielle Union, 49, poses nude on Instagram: 'The rebirth will be glorious'
Gabrielle Union just bared it all.
The Breaking In actress, 49, took to Instagram on Friday to share a photo of herself nude while appearing to be sitting on a makeup chair. She covered her knees and arms while staring at the camera.
She captioned the photo, "Naked and undaunted. The rebirth will be GORGEOUS.”
Union also thanked model and actress Lauren London, whose partner Nipsey Hussle was murdered in 2019, for her inspiration.
"PS Thank you @laurenlondon you showed up like the angel you are and threw some knowledge and love at me that changed the course of my life," Union continued. "He won't. PSS THANK YOU to everyone for taking the time to pour into me over the past few months while I've struggled mightily. THANKS!!!!!"
London responded in the comments section with various emojis including a butterfly, fairy and angel.
While it's unclear what Union is referring to, the Bring It On star has long been open about her struggles with mental health, much of which stems from surviving a rape when she was 19 while working in a shoe store worked. In June, she shared a video on Instagram of herself at the Met Gala, along with a caption about how she has to manage her mental health at big events.
“As a rape survivor, I battled PTSD for 30 years. Living with anxiety and panic attacks all these years has never been easy," she began her caption. “There are times when the anxiety is so bad it shrinks my life. Leaving the house or turning left at an uncontrolled traffic light can fill me with terror. Anxiety can turn my anticipation of a party or fun event I've been looking forward to (Met Ball) to pure agony. When we tell you what we experience, please believe us when we mention it for the first time. No, it's not like being nervous and everyone experiences and deals with anxiety differently and that's okay. You don't have to try to "fix" me. I'm sharing this because I hope everyone living with anxiety knows they are not alone or "redundant". I see you, I FEEL you and there is so much love for you. Always. love and light good people. Be good to each other out there.”
This isn't the first time Union has stripped for Instagram. In September 2021, she appeared topless on the social media platform to share an empowering message.
"They give off strong dancing cricket vibes but when people ask how it feels to be so publicly vulnerable... This," she wrote at the time. “Seriously, if you've ever felt like you could literally die from humiliation, vulnerability can be a challenge, but let me tell you, uuuuuu, it is FREEDOM indeed. Peace and joy can live side by side with vulnerability.”
