Marie Claire cover star Gabrielle Union wore a gorgeous Miu Miu look from head to toe in a new Instagram post.
Union has integrated two of the biggest trend pieces of this season: the shirt jacket or the shacket and the boots with outsoles. She wore the outfit to Marie Claire's Power On Summit, where she spoke openly about telling the truth to power.
She paid tribute to Vice-Presidential candidate Kamala Harris' viral debate quote: "I speak."
You will know that Gabrielle Union is a reliable provider of flawless ensembles. And her latest look could be one of her best! In a new Instagram post, Union wore a plaid shirt jacket (or, if you will, a blanket) with crystal shoulder trimmings over a black crop top and high-waisted shorts that completed the look with brown boot soles. The tags suggest that almost all of the outfit was Miu Miu, with the exception of the skims crop top.
Interested trend trackers will find that Union has integrated two of the season's biggest trend styles into one outfit - the shacket and the track sole boots. Keen Union trackers will find this to be her second stunning Miu Miu look in a week after wearing a see-through embellished skirt with a long sleeved black cardigan to virtually attend the fashion house's latest runway show on Monday. A style icon if there ever was one!
Union wore the outfit to Marie Claire's Power On Summit, the networking extravaganza that went virtual this year. Speaking to journalist Lola Ogunnaike, who wrote Marie Claire's cover story about her in October, Union said:
Nobody can take anything away from me at this point but my soul, and I am the only one keeping my soul. So when I emptied that basket of fucks I thought, I'll always tell the truth to power, I'll always lead from the beginning, I'll always take myself as an example. Because if not me, who will? And I would rather be this authentic whole self and take a few blows as a cover and have hollow victories.
Union also went on Instagram Thursday to share its support for Proposition 16, which would lift the California positive action ban if it were passed. In a video calling on her supporters to vote for the proposal, she said: "The fight against dismantling systemic racism is on the agenda in California. COVID-19 and the economic shutdown have devastated the black communities that are five times more likely to be destroyed. " be hospitalized or die of COVID-19. Undeclared unemployment is at an all-time high and black companies are struggling to survive. "
"When we say Black Lives Matter we have to mean business," Union continued. "So I'm proud to vote yes on Prop 16 with everyone from Vice Presidential Candidate and Senator Kamala Harris and Governor Gavin Newsome to the California NAACP and the founders of Black Lives Matter, the ACLU and the California Teacher's Association."
