George Clooney Explains Why He Turned Down $35 Million For A Day’s Work

Actor George Clooney declined $ 35 million for a single day's work so that he could sleep at night.
Clooney, director of upcoming film "The Tender Bar," said he turned down a multi-million dollar paycheck for an overseas airline commercial after discussing it with his wife, human rights attorney Amal Clooney.
The couple "decided it wasn't worth it," he told the Guardian in a lengthy interview published Friday.
"It was [connected to] a country that, while an ally, is sometimes questionable," explained Clooney. "And then I thought to myself: 'Well, if it costs me a minute of sleep, it's not worth it." "
Clooney did not name the country or the airline.
The Oscar-winning stance should come as no surprise. He has used his platform to promote and challenge a variety of issues, from racism and former President Donald Trump to anti-maskers and the Kingdom of Brunei.
However, Clooney ruled out the candidacy because he said "because I really want to have a good life".
