Geraldo Rivera Frets About ‘Black on Black Crime’: There’s a ‘Ghetto Civil War Going On’

Fox News
Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera grappled with the Black Lives Matter movement and democratic leaders Monday night, grumbling that they weren't dealing enough with the "Black on Black crime," and claimed it was one "Ghetto Civil War" underway. ”
With protests against George Floyd's death and police brutality, Fox News presenter Sean Hannity dedicated the highlight of his show on Monday evening to the "lawlessness" alarm that is said to be rampant in liberally run cities.
After discussing the recent violence in the Seattle “CHOP” zone and the city that wanted to phase out the autonomous zone in the coming days, Hannity insisted that violence in democratically controlled areas be “out of control” before turning to Rivera, he urged the activists to refocus their attention.
"I want to start a new social movement called" Black Toddlers' Lives Matter, "" he exclaimed, before speaking about the recent gunshot deaths in Chicago. "The lives of black toddlers also matter, and it's time for the people who sold the other Black Lives Matter to come on board and save their own children."
Later in the segment, after Fox News correspondent Kevin Corke reported on clashes between demonstrators and police officers outside the White House, Rivera and Hannity took up the issue again and went further.
"The putrefaction, decay, lack of security, the destruction that was our educational system is the legacy of all these great liberal cities in these liberal states," grumbled Hannity. "It's just a fact, Geraldo. It's irrefutable at this point."
Rivera said he wanted the law to "do everything possible" to stop the "anarchists and the antifas of the world" and claimed that the "summer of love" of the protesters was now over before addressing black leaders and Democrats turn.
"The biggest problem is the shattered families," Rivera continued. "Black on black crimes. You never talk about ... Where are our great leaders? Where's Joe Biden about the crime of black against black? "
The experienced talk show host called it the "deadly threat" to black teenagers and said that "Black on Black Crime" was "stuff of a real social movement" and he wanted the demonstrators to focus their energy on it, not just brutality the police and racial justice.
"It's a ghetto civil war and because of the political correctness we don't talk about it because people are afraid that they didn't wake up," he said. "That we are not on the side of the new moral majority. I think it is absurd that we should turn away. That is the real murderer of minorities."
Rivera then criticized other media for “keeping silent” on the subject, while applauding Fox News for regular coverage of inner-city violence.
