Get Ready For Scorpio Season, The Most Intense Part Of The Year

If the last two years have shown anything, it is that one of the only constants in life is change. In that regard, this mysterious, atmospheric Scorpio season brings even more of it - transformative changes will be from October 23rd, when the sun first steps into the sign of Scorpio, to November 21st, when it is time to shine . But this Scorpio season is particularly intense and will give both of us an opportunity to really process some of the changes we've been through in the past few months and move forward into a new season of our lives.
One reason the Scorpio season brings out such a profound and powerful energy is because, in a sense, the sign has two ruling planets. While traditional astrologers associate the sign of Scorpio with Mars, the planet of action and desire, modern astrologers associate it with Pluto, the planet of destruction. Madi Murphy, co-founder of The Cosmic RX and The Cosmic Revolution, says she likes to think of the sign as ruled by both. "The thought of the external forcing, the intensity and focus of the Scorpio and how it moves through life illustrates this Martian energy to a T," she says. "But they also long to go deep into people, get to the heart of the matter with the same intensity, or uncover things in the shadows, which is very plutonic." The energy of these two heavenly bodies will be very evident by the end of November, so get on ready for some intense awakening and suppressed energies to come forward and be heard.
Mercury, Mars, and Pluto are all joining the Sun in Scorpio this season, which makes the zodiac sign's properties feel extra strong. "We're going to get a big invitation to look at some of our deepest fears and see if they stand in the way of personal transformation," says Murphy. This time of year is all about evolution, and the only way out of a challenging metamorphosis is through. We're honest: you can suffer from growing pains. But we advise you to hold on (honestly, with the tenacity of Scorpio season behind you, you may not be able to help yourself). As you move on, you will leave behind any challenges you face stronger and with much needed clarity.
We're giving you a few dates to watch out for this season, so don't say we didn't warn you. First on October 30th, when the sun is square with Saturn, the planet of limitation. “This can be a busy day with little energy. If so, expect that energy to pass in the next 48 hours, ”says Leslie Hale, psychic astrologer at Keen.com. Yes, we know this is the Saturday of Halloween weekend, but just take this as a sign to rest your body instead of overexerting yourself. You can still have your spooky seasonal fun, but expect to sleep in or take an afternoon nap on Saturday mornings.
Then, on November 4th, both the sun and the new moon in Scorpio will encounter Uranus, the planet of rebellion and unexpected change. "On this day, we need to be aware of things and not be too tied to a given schedule because something can change in unexpected ways," says Hale. Narayana Montúfar, Senior Astrologer at Astrology.com, also says that this planetary connection will bring "an element of liberation, rebellion and freedom for the whole month". If ever there was a time to use "going with the flow" as your mantra, it would be now. Embrace change and be open to new opportunities - that way you might be pleasantly surprised with how your day goes.
Sade the Astrology Vixen, an astrologer based in London, also advises us to keep a close watch on Mercury, the planet of communication, as it enters Scorpio on November 5th. “The higher octave of Mercury in Scorpio requires absolute transparency; however, on the lower levels, it holds its cards tightly to its chest, ”she says. “Liberation occurs when we liberate our truths to make changes in our individual lives and in the world.” During this period, we are more likely to repeat mistakes that we made in the past. So pay special attention to your decisions and actions this month.
The Scorpio season marks the beginning of the eclipse season, with the first partial lunar eclipse in Taurus on November 19th. This is - you guessed it - another sign that things are about to change. “Eclipses are cosmic portals that mix the past with the present and the future,” says Montúfar. “During this time, the cosmos will release all of the changes that have built up throughout the year, so that those who resisted will experience them most.” And for those of us who yearn for a meaningful change says Montúfar, there is no better time than now to initiate it.
If there's one thing this Scorpio season it's your own flexibility. You will not be able to predict what is in store for you this month as this time on the astrological calendar is often a cosmically determined mess, so do whatever you can to be prepared for sudden changes. If we look at Scorpio season from our review mirrors, we probably have some shifts behind us - but we will probably be better at it, too.
