'Google It!': Stephen Colbert Taunts Jim Jordan With A Scathing Reminder Of His Past
Stephen Colbert attacked the "complete kit" of House minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) For attempting to provide numbers to the January 6 attack on the US Capitol that was misinformation about the insurrection and circulated the 2020 election, including Rep Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
"Jim Jordan is an expert on the causes of January 6 because he helped create January 6," Colbert said, noting that even Rep Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) Reportedly did this in the middle of the attack said.
"You damn well did that," Cheney said to Jordan, according to the new book, "I Can Fix It On My Own."
Jordan's inclusion on the committee, Colbert said, "is like 'Silence of the Lambs' ending with Buffalo Bill's representation."
House spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Disapproved of Jordan and Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.), Saying their acceptance would jeopardize the committee's integrity.
“These are two potential suspects. Nancy Pelosi can't just look away, ”he said. "She's not Jim Jordan in the shower in the state of Ohio."
While the audience cheered, he added, "Google it!"
The rift was a reference to Jordan's story as an assistant coach at the university, where he was accused of ignoring harassment allegations against the wrestling team's doctor. Jordan denied these allegations, but several athletes have confirmed the story.
