Great Outfits in Fashion History: Lindsay Lohan Looking Ethereal and Summery in Chanel

It was 2006 and she was Karl Lagerfeld's muse of the moment.
There are absolutely good celebrity-style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you and are desperate to recreate at home. In "Great Outfits in Fashion History", fashionista editors pick up their favorite delicacies of all time.
About 15 years ago, before living in Dubai and getting rich with NFTs, Lindsay Lohan was one of Hollywood's top it girls - a prolific partygoer and fashion darling. One of the greatest designers who fell under its spell was the late great Karl Lagerfeld. By 2006 (Lohan's heyday, some might say) she apparently had a closet full of Chanel, and she pulled out one of those dresses for this year's CFDA Fashion Awards.
With her signature auburn hair and a genuine smile, Lohan looked happy, free, and ethereal in the light, semi-sheer, handkerchief-style maxi dress that sported a flashy watch and leather fingerless gloves. (It appears that Largefeld has dressed his muse of the moment somewhat in his own image.)
The look is a great example of why black still works for summer. Buy some similarly airy black dresses in the gallery below.
