Gwyneth Paltrow was celebrating National Daughters Day - which fell on Saturday September 25th this year - a day late, but her mood was just as strong.
On Sunday, the day before her 49th birthday, the actress paid tribute to 17-year-old daughter Apple Martin with a selfie of them leaning against each other. Paltrow, putting on makeup for the cute shot, raved, "Oh man, I love you" in her caption and added a hashtag for National Daughters Day.
Paltrow - who Apple and son Moses shares with Coldplay ex-husband Chris Martin - received loving responses from Kate Hudson and others with her sentimental selfie.
The Goop founder also praised Apple in a post marking the teen's 17th birthday in May.
"You are all YOU, which I respect and admire so much," she wrote. “I wish I had even a spoonful of the self-acceptance that you have at your age. You are so inspiring and just so cool. "
But as with many mothers and teenage daughters, there are also uncomfortable moments. Last year, a seemingly humiliated Apple replied "MOM" after Paltrow celebrated her 48th birthday with a nude photo shoot.
