Hannah Brown personally apologized to Rachel Lindsay for her 'privilege' after using racial slur
Rachelette, a Bachelorette graduate, was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, where she talked about another former Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, who recently got a backlash after listening to a racist slur song on Instagram Live had sung.
Brown later made a statement apologizing for the use of the N-word, which disappointed Lindsay, who wished she had made the statement on video. After a two-week break on social media, Brown finally released a heartfelt apology on May 30, and on Wednesday Lindsay announced to Andy Cohen that the two have been speaking since then.
"She turned to me, apologized to me and actually said something great that let me know that she was really taking the time to find out. She said: 'My privilege hid me behind a written statement and let me hide it for two weeks from social media. Your privilege didn't allow you to do that, so you had to make a video explaining why it is wrong to say the N-word. 'I thought, gosh , she really took the time to find out, "Lindsay explained.
Lindsay concluded: "At the end of the day I said: 'Everything is forgiven.' I think we can get to this point. But it was really thoughtful. I know that it was difficult for them to reach me after everything that happened. "
While Cohen and Lindsay looked at celebrities' racist statements, Lindsay said that, although she doesn't like stopping culture, she dismissed four actors from Vanderpump Rules - Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and - fully Brett Caprioni agrees - even if it's their favorite Bravo show.
"I totally agree to the shooting," said Lindsay. "I was disgusted when I found out what they were doing and even more that they bragged about it afterwards. They weren't repentant at all until they got caught, so I definitely think they should be removed from the show you I think people can change and do better, especially if they are held accountable for it, but this is one of my favorite shows on Bravo, it is hard to see them go, but they deserve it at this point to go. You shouldn't be rewarded for such bad behavior. "
