‘Hawkeye’ release date revealed as Marvel gives us an early look at the Disney+ show
We finally know when the next live-action MCU show will hit Disney +. In an exclusive first look on Thursday, Entertainment Weekly confirmed that November 24th was the release date for Hawkeye. Rumors pointed to a launch in November, a date has now been confirmed. As with Loki, new episodes of Hawkeye will be released on Wednesdays. The article didn't reveal how many episodes there will be in the show's first season.
As expected, the show follows two Hawkeyes: Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. Bishop was introduced in the Young Avengers comics in the 2000s. At the time, Barton was dead, so she picked up the coat in his place. He eventually returned, and the two of them often hooked up afterward.
On the Disney + Show, Kate Bishop is played by Hailee Steinfeld. Marvel Studios announced that Kate will be on the Hawkeye show at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Over a year later, the studio finally announced that Steinfeld would take on the role.
Hawkeye release date: November 24, 2021

"[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid and she's a huge Hawkeye fan," said Jeremy Renner of the bishop we'll meet on the show. “She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming nature about her because she's such a fan girl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the many problems she brings into his life. "
Although Barton and Bishop often work together in the comics, they have very different approaches to fighting crime. Based on Renner's description of Bishop, it sounds like this will be the case here as well. Renner also spoke about looking after Steinfeld during the shoot:
That was always my role. Aside from acting, I was protecting her and giving her the CliffsNotes on how this kind of filmmaking goes: greenscreen, superhero life, all that stuff. I just wanted to protect her because there are a lot of physical things. She's a wonderful actress, a wonderful person, and I can't wait to see all the cool things she can do.
Aside from the picture above and the release date, not much has been revealed about Hawkeye. Thankfully, Marvel has a lot more on the way. What if…? arrives to Disney + August 11, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hits theaters September 3, and Eternals arrives November 5. We also suspect that Ms. Marvel may be out soon.
