Audi has announced that the upcoming e-tron GT electric sports sedan will feature a high-performance RS model.
A clip has also been released on how the e-tron GT will sound, although the RS model will have its own unique sound.
The Audi e-tron GT 2021 will be built in the same plant as the Audi R8 super sports car and will start production at the end of this year. It will arrive in the US sometime next year.
The Audi e-tron GT 2021 will be launched this year and will join the Sportback SUVs e-tron and e-tron and the upcoming crossover Q4 e-tron in the electric range from Audi. Audi showed us what the new electric Grand Tourer will sound like ahead of its official debut and announced that a high-performance RS model will debut alongside it.

The e-tron GT is powered by two electric motors that deliver 590 hp, and a complex cooling system allows the battery to make repeated trips without affecting acceleration. Power is transferred to all four wheels via Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system, and Audi claims a 3.5-second sprint to 60 mph in the standard E-Tron GT but does not give out any information about the higher power RS- Model.
In contrast to internal combustion engines, electric motors make almost no noise. That is why Audi developed artificial noises that were specially developed for the e-tron GT and are played via an external speaker and change depending on the driving mode. A sound pack will also be available that adds an additional outside speaker at the rear as well as two at the rear doors to amplify the sound. The sound of the e-tron GT (heard above) sounds similar to that of most electric cars today, but as soon as it turns it reminds us of a turbine engine. An Audi spokesman told Car and Driver that the RS e-tron GT will have its own unique sound.

The Audi e-tron GT 2021 with a body made of aluminum and steel with an optional carbon fiber roof will be built next to the V8-R8 super sports car at the Audi plant in Böllinger Höfe in Germany from the end of this year. It is expected to arrive in the US sometime next year and start at around $ 100,000.
