Heidi Klum isn't having a Halloween party this year, but scammers want you to believe she is.
The American Got Talent judge, who established herself as the prominent Queen of Halloween after two decades of elaborate costumes, canceled her party this year due to the corona virus. However, several websites have posts selling tickets for the big event - some as high as $ 3,258 apiece.
However, the Klum representative made it clear to Yahoo Entertainment that the ticket offers were fake, "because Heidi will not be holding an event this year due to the pandemic".
A website called vipawardshowtickets.com has a listing that sells four tickets for a total of $ 3,490 for the "ultra-exclusive A-List" event scheduled for October 31st in NYC with Questlove DJing .
When informed of the listing, a website representative said, “There are obviously no events this year. Everyone knows that. We haven't sold anything since March and basically have no site traffic. So we're not exactly concerned about people mistakenly shopping. However, if someone did, we would cancel the sale and let them know about the virus. "
Another website, Cornucopia-events.co.uk, offers an even more expensive option at $ 3,258 per VIP ticket - or around $ 40,000 for 10 guests. They didn't comment on why when there isn't a party.
Klum is famous for Halloween parties - as well as her costumes, which take months to prepare. Last year she was an alien with an elaborate prosthesis and arrived - with husband Tom Kaulitz - on a "biohazard" truck with bloodied glass windows. It took 10 hours to apply for the costume.
The event in 2019 was their 20th annual event and, like every year, was starred. In 2012, the party was postponed because of Hurricane Sandy, but in December it became a charity event.
Klum said she'll think about her Halloween costume once the party is over for over the year before, stating, "If I take this off tonight, I'll be thinking about what I'll be for next Halloween."
And fans can still see this costume. With everything going virtual due to the pandemic, Klum can show this in a different, safer way.
While Klum's party is over, Bette Midler will have her annual hulaween - virtually. Instead of her annual NYC party, which benefits the New York Restoration Project, she is hosting an online event with her Hocus Pocus co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
In Search of the Sanderson Sisters, A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover is an hour-long event hosted by Elvira, Lady of Darkness, with guests including Glenn Close, Billy Eichner, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, John Stamos, Meryl Streep and Billy Crystal is organized. Sarah Silverman and more. The price is $ 10.
