Hiker Films Terrifying 6-Minute Cougar Chase: 'Thought I Was Done For'

An exciting video shows a hiker followed by a puma on a trail in Utah for almost six minutes.
"I thought I was done for," Kyle Burgess wrote in an Instagram post about his encounter on Saturday at Slate Canyon near Provo.
The veteran hiker said he ran into cougar cubs on a trail run and "their mother wasn't happy to see me."
In the explosive footage, Burgess can be heard screaming and yelling to signal the cat to back off. He retreats along the way as the cat follows, charging towards him several times with bared teeth and claws.
"Go away! Get your babies," you hear Burgess scream at some point.
After six minutes of pursuit, the animal finally runs back in the direction from which it came.
In an interview with NBC News, Burgess said, "I definitely thought I was going to get hurt."
"My adrenaline was pumping so much," he said.
