Hilarious toddler denies stealing a cookie when dad questions her

This TikTok Dad Caught His Daughter Eating A Cookie And Trying To Hide The Evidence!
Matt (@noi7se) is a parent and TikToker who shares videos of his adorable mischievous 5-year-old daughter Faris. In a hilarious video, Matt shared a throwback to a moment when Faris was less than 5 years old and still an equally mischievous toddler. In the video, Matt catches Faris stealing a cookie and then denies stealing it!
As the video begins, Matt walks into the kitchen and sees Faris standing on a stool. The toddler has one arm raised to cover his mouth and the other stretched out as if to prevent his father from approaching. Although most of her face is covered by her elbow, the toddler can be seen chewing something.

"What do you eat?" Matt asks Faris.
"Nothing," the toddler replies without taking his arm from her face.
"Show me your mouth," Matt demands.
Faris stares at Matt with wide, innocent eyes and keeps chewing. She still has her arm up and covering her face. "Wait a minute," she murmurs as she chews.
"Wait a second?" Matt asks, sounding outraged. "Faris!"
Finally, after chewing for a few more moments, Faris takes her arm away from her face and opens her mouth. She points to her mouth and then shrugs. "See?" She says. "There's nothing in my mouth."

"So you didn't eat a cookie?" Matt asks, panning the camera over to show a half-eaten cookie sitting on the kitchen counter.

"No, I'm not," Faris replies.
"For real?" asks Matt. "What is that?"
Matt points to the cookie and Faris follows his gaze. "It's a cookie," she replies soberly.
"You didn't eat it? So what was in your mouth?” asks the angry father.
"There was a cookie in there," Faris replies, her lies finally catching up with her.
Then Faris changes her tactics and tries to extricate herself from the situation with friendly words. "You were nice to me," she tells her father.
"I was nice to you?" he asks.
"Yes, you were," Faris replies, smiling at her father.
"Are you trying to put lotion on me so I forget you ate a cookie?" her father asks, seeing through her strategy.
"Yes," Faris replies at the end of the video.
Viewers demanded justice for Faris, claiming the toddler did nothing wrong!
"I believe her," joked one viewer.
"I'm your attorney. She's innocent," commented another viewer.
"I think we're all on their side," commented another TikToker.
Faris may have been caught stealing the cookie, but public opinion is on her side!
