Hog wanders into Texas roadway at night, causing fatal car crash, Texas officials say

According to the Texas police, a pig caused a fatal car accident on Sunday night.
According to the State Department of Public Safety, 24-year-old Aaron Lee from Winona was driving on a Smith County road at around 9:40 p.m. when he met a pig that was walking in the middle of the street, the Tyler Morning Telegraph reported.
Lee lost control of his 2008 Lexus, got off the road and hit a tree, officials told KETK.
Winona with about 550 inhabitants is located about 21 km northeast of Tyler.
Officials said Lee was taken to UT Health East Texas in Tyler for treatment but eventually died of his injuries, according to KLTV.
The officials did not say whether the pig was wild.
Wild boars are one of the most prolific non-native animals introduced to North America and live in almost every county in Texas except El Paso County, which is the state's westernmost territory, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. They are considered annoying and potentially dangerous.
According to official data, there were an estimated 2.6 million wild boars in Texas as of 2016, more than the total US wild boar population in 1982.
