Honda launched a press release announcing the return of the CBR600RR, Fury, Gold Wing, NC750X and Rebel 1100 with news that it is bringing its miniMOTO sat nav here. This Tiny-Bike series already includes Grom, Monkey, Cub and Trail125, with the Navi becoming the new entry-level model and expanding the definition of "Moto". Honda's Motorcycle and Scooter India Division started with the Activa scooter sold in Asia and redesigned it to look like a sat nav for the local market. The sat nav was sold in India in 2016, lasted three years in India before retiring, but is still sold in export markets. This now also includes the USA. The 90 millimeter wide MRF Zapper tires suggest that these babies are imported from the factory in Tapukara, Rajasthan, India, with MRF being an Indian conglomerate that is over 70 years old.
The navigation system is based on a scooter and has all kinds of friendly features for someone who is just getting on a bike. The seat is only 30.1 inches high. There is a 110 cc four-stroke carburettor engine that transmits power to the rear wheels via a belt-driven V-Matic CVT. Simply turn the handle and off you go - but not too fast. The simplicity continues with the 130mm drum brakes front and rear, which have a parking brake at the front. With a full gas charge in the 0.9 gallon tank, the package weighs 236 pounds and Honda claims EPA fuel efficiency is 110.3 miles per gallon. Of course, this doesn't include anything that's stowed away in the lockable, detachable 0.53 cubic foot storage compartment that sits deep between the driver's feet. With the analog speedometer and the fuel gauge you can keep track of how fast and how far you are driving. For the old school, the electric starter has a kick backup.
All of this can be yours for the extremely low and exceptionally specific price of $ 1,807. A satnav comes in one of four colors: Grasshopper Green; Nut brown; Ranger green; and red. Honda has partnered with motorcycle apparel company Icon and hunting apparel company TrueTimber on graphics packages when those hues aren't enough to seal the deal. It will be available in most of the US in January 2022, California will have to wait until February.
