Honda has revised the Accord once for 2021. The Japanese brand added a Sport SE fairing, added additional safety systems, optimized the engine software, created a revised grille and added functionality. It's all subtle. If you don't notice, you will be forgiven.
The newly tailored Accord named Sport SE will replace the EX 1.5T. It gets leather seats that are heated in the front, keyless entry and remote start. Sport differs optically from other Accords with a tailgate spoiler, various 19-inch wheels, LED fog lights, a radiator grille and an exhaust pipe in dark chrome. Power comes from the 1.5 liter turbo engine, the base engine in the range that produces 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. The sole gear offered is continuously adjustable and transmits the power to the front wheels. Sport SE starts at $ 29,675.
All 2021 Accords will get a new front grille that is wider and redesigned to better integrate the adaptive cruise control radar up front. If it's an EX or higher trim accord you also get full LED lights.

The 8-inch infotainment screen is now standard on all Accords, previously it was only EX and higher. And that means Apple Carplay and Android Auto are standard across the board too. However, with the EX-L or Touring fairings, or the EX hybrid model or a higher hybrid model, the smartphone connectivity mentioned above is wireless. Finally, EX-L and higher are charged with wireless smartphones.
In addition, there are now two USB ports in the front of the lower center console. One is just for charging your smart device or whatever. The other is also used for connectivity. In addition, the occupants in the rear seats now also have two USB ports for charging. As for the rear seat occupants, Honda added a standard rear seat reminder system so that nobody is forgotten, as well as a rear seat belt reminder.
For people who choose a hybrid, Honda says the Accord hybrid has been updated to use more of the electric motor and offer better throttle response. Power remains constant at 212, as does torque at 232 lb-ft. But the fuel economy on the freeway increases by one, now offering 48 urban MPG, 48 freeway, 48 combined. The starting price is $ 27,325.
In terms of safety, the top Accord Touring and Accord Hybrid Touring models are getting a new system called Low Speed Cornering Control, which warns the driver if the sonar parking sensors detect something that is obstructing your path. The system first warns the driver and then brakes itself to avoid a collision. Honda has also worked on improving the application of the other safety system like adaptive cruise control so that they work smoother and feel more natural.

Finally, Honda played around with the engine calibration software for both 1.5 liter and 2.0 liter engines to improve throttle response. And the 1.5-liter turbo engine starts faster than before after being automatically switched off in idle. The base 2021 Accord LX starts at $ 25,575.
