Getting an invite to Shaunie Henderson's wedding might require you to jump through some hoops.
Barely six months after Basketball Wives star wed Pastor Keion Henderson in a fairytale wedding, the couple is ready to document their journey down the aisle for a new VH1 special titled Shaunie & Keion's Destination "I Do."
Along the way, viewers will learn who managed to land an invite, including Shaunie's ex-husband, Shaquille O'Neal.
"My daughter had her sweet 16," Shaunie shared with E! News in the exclusive interview. "She turned 16 in May just before the wedding, so we were at the birthday party together and he said, 'Well, am I invited to the wedding?' And I said, 'Of course you are.' And I roll my eyes like, 'I mean you are, but do you really have to come?' But I mean, that's our joke, right? I know people will take this and run with it. But that was our joke.”
According to Shaunie, the former NBA player really didn't show up, "but he got the courtesy invite."
Couples get married on TV
She and Shaq, who were married for nine years before divorcing in 2011, have remained friends while raising their children together: Myles, 25, Shareef, 22, Amirah, 21, Shaqir, 19, and Me'arah, 16

"We're cool," she said. "We've been parents together for 12 years and needed to get to a place where we could communicate and remain friends. It's not that everyday conversation, but we come together for the kids and respect each other's space, the places we're in."
As for that wedding invitation, she admitted, "I was pissed off," adding with a laugh, "What should I do?"
While Shaunie's husband has yet to meet Shaq in person, it's not for beef or drama. Instead, Keion said it was the simple reason for bad timing.
Celebrity Couples We Admire
"It's not on purpose," Keion tells E! With. "He came to the house to pick up the children and maybe I'll preach somewhere. Our paths have led to each other, but they have not crossed. I look forward to meeting him as I would to anyone who has achieved what they have in life."
Two people who had no problem getting an invite to the big wedding were Shaunie's Basketball Wives co-stars Jackie Christie and Evelyn Lozada.
Before any TV special was completed, Shaunie knew her close friends had to be part of the celebration.
"It was just always real love," she explained. “You have ladies who are your friends and collaborators and then you have sisters and I consider them sisters. They were absolutely locked in and I knew the audience would love to see them."
Viewers will also love seeing the chemistry between Shaunie and Keion as they begin a new chapter as husband and wife. In the three-part special, fans can watch as Shaunie embraces her new life as the First Lady of Keion's Lighthouse Church in Houston, Texas.
The couple also hopes to show an example of love through reality TV that doesn't focus on drama or fights.
"I think the best part for me is that Keion really makes me want to be a better person," Shaunie said. "It's just watching him make the decisions, how he moves, how he loves and treats people."
Keion added: "She brought the most laughter I've ever had in my life. Just seeing the good, the humor, the bright side of almost everything. She helps me find light and laughter.”
Shaunie & Keion's Destination "I Do" premieres November 28 at 9 p.m. on VH1.
