From the car and driver
We had to pinch ourselves when Audi first announced that the high-performance RS6 Avant car was really, really coming to the US market. But now it's definitely real since the RS6 appeared on the Audi USA configurator website. That is why we decided to specify our ideal version of this dream car.
Only one powertrain configuration is available, and it's a good one. A 4.0-liter V8 engine with two turbochargers delivers 591 horsepower and 590 pounds of torque, and Quattro all-wheel drive is standard. The starting price for this car-only model is a little over six digits, but we haven't stopped here and added several options to the list

Model we would choose
RS6 Avant TFSI Quattro Tiptronic ($ 109,995)
The RS6 is generously equipped with standard equipment such as leather seats, an electric tailgate, LED headlights and taillights as well as a simple exterior treatment, which gives the already slim A6 car body the appropriate street presence for an RS model. It also has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, and 21-inch wheels that are wrapped with summer performance tires.
Options we would choose
Nardo gray color ($ 0)
Cognac Brown leather interior ($ 0)
Executive Package ($ 2500)
Black Optics Package ($ 2450)
Driver Assistance Package ($ 2250)
Sports exhaust ($ 1000)
Our RS6 is not fully loaded, but has a nice selection of options. We chose the subtle color Nardo Gray, not only because it's free, but also because it looks great. The available interior color scheme in cognac brown also impressed us. For this, the executive package had to be added, which offers heated rear seats, more leather interior, a head-up display and soft-closing doors. The driver assistance package seemed like a good buy, as did the Black Optic package, which includes attractive 22-inch wheels and some dark exterior panels. And of course we couldn't do without the sports exhaust, which should make the V-8 engine sound even more amazing.

The total is $ 118,195. For Americans, the RS6 Avant is as rare as the RS6 Avant - the Mercedes-AMG E63 is the only other real high-performance car that you can buy in the USA - that seems to us to be a reasonable sum.
