I Ate Like The Bridgertons For 3 Days And It Was The Most Luxurious 3 Days Of My Life

From Delish
Allow me to introduce myself again: you can now call me Lady Jackie of Los Angeles! Related: I have an unhealthy obsession with historical pieces. I think I've seen almost every TV show known to man. When Bridgerton hit Netflix, it took me eight hours to do a full binge. It had everything I wanted from a historical piece from the opulent costumes, the Regency romance, the social drama and loads of decadent food.
... So, like any logical superfan, I traveled over time with food and ate like the Bridgertons for three days!
The book the Bridgerton series is based on is set between 1813 and 1827, so the food I tried was heavily inspired by that era. I also tried food from the Victorian period (1837-1901) because Queen Victoria had a very interesting diet that I couldn't do without.
Here are my three favorite things that I have tried, but be sure to watch the full video to see all I have eaten.

These cakes were popular in England in the 18th and 19th centuries. The main ingredients are currants, sherry wine, rose water and nutmeg. Queen cakes were the perfect thing to snack on during tea time.

Like today, crab was a luxury back then. The Bridgerton Show featured towers of lobster and crab every time they had a banquet or a social ball. They spared no expense when it came to hosting special events.
Scotch whiskey

Queen Victoria could eat seven to eight courses in 30 minutes - she was in a hurry to get the good stuff - whiskey. She was known to love scotch whiskey and to persuade her subjects to drink it. I was so glad I could find a 19th century whiskey - so, my friends, finish off a dinner.
