I've paid too much for designer denim since my first year of high school. I'm not proud of it, but I once paid $ 250 for baggy boyfriend style jeans with holes that my grandma couldn't believe I paid for.
I recently decided to take a much-needed break from tradition and try a pair of jeans that won't break my budget. So I ordered Amazon's # 1 best-selling jeans with thousands of rave reviews.
They're already pretty affordable at $ 28, but Amazon cut the price down to $ 22 as an early Prime Day deal!

They are from Levi Strauss and Co.
OKAY. Levi Strauss and Co. isn't the designer label I'm used to - but it's still a brand name. After all, Levi Strauss invented jeans. His company has been making them since the 1870s. In addition to the name recognition, I chose these jeans because they are number 1 on Amazon in the entire category of women's jeans. They have an average rating of 4.3 stars from more than 19,000 verified reviews.
I think one reason they are so popular is because they are so affordable. I'm 5 feet 4 inches and 115 pounds so I'm a size 2 with a 27 inch inseam. I chose "Harmony waterless" as the color.
Disclaimer: They are "jeggings"

Before I praise these pants, I have to admit one thing: they are actually jeggings. I think I laughed out loud when I first heard the term. I certainly never thought I'd buy a pair. But here in 2020 I am wondering why I didn't jump on the jeggings train earlier. I worked at Lululemon and have always been a fan of leggings because they are so soft and stretchy. On the contrary, I hate how stiff and restrictive denim can be.

I wish these had real front pockets instead of fake pockets, but the fact that they feel like leggings more than makes up for it. My biggest concern was that they would look like fake jeans - but they don't! As long as I'm wearing a shirt - like my favorite tunic - that's long enough to cover the waistband, it's impossible to say that I'm wearing a comfortable blend of cotton and polyester with a touch of spandex instead of denim. Elastane is the fabric that makes Lycra and Spanx so stretchy.
I can do anything from sitting to sightseeing

My biggest complaint with most jeans, especially high-rise jeans, is that sitting in them for long periods of time is uncomfortable. However, these jeans feel like leggings, so I can sit in almost any position for hours without the feeling of having to loosen the top button.

I also wore them while sightseeing in Portugal this summer. Most days I walk at least 6 miles and climb at least six flights of stairs. These "jeans" aren't too heavy and don't chafe when I start to sweat. They're definitely more moisture wicking than traditional denim. And because they don't have holes, I can wear them to cathedrals, museums, and nicer restaurants without feeling like I'm breaking a dress code.
I could buy a pair of any color and still save money
These jeans are available in six colors: four blue denim washes, an elegant black and a wine color that I would like to order. In fact, I could buy a pair of any color and still spend less than just one pair of my designer jeans. I know quality and comfort trump quantity, but with these jeans I can have all three.
