I'm Resolving to Not Buy These 7 Shoe Styles Anymore

I live very much according to the old saying "never say never", especially when it comes to fashion trends, but there are certain shoe styles that I can confidently say that I cannot imagine wearing them again. We live in fashion at a time when even "ugly" trends tend to become wildly popular. I accept some of them, but there are other shoe trends that, for one reason or another, I tend to say that I've been there what has been done (most have to do with seeing old photos of me that) they wear).
Style is obviously a very personal thing, so I have to point out that I support the wearing of the shoes I skip to my heart's content if the shoes I skip work for you. On the other hand, I have seven alternative styles that I've been shopping for lately. Keep scrolling to see which shoes I'm officially finished with and which ones I'm buying instead.
Goodbye: flip-flops
Hello: Dad sandals
I realize that flip-flops made a comeback towards the end of summer 2018, but instead I opt for less weak styles, like the tourist sandals that were found all over the S / S 19 runways.
Shop my selection
Cream strappy strappy sandals ($ 389)
Who Wears What Axel Slingback Sandal ($ 95)
Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle Slide Sandal ($ 150)
Goodbye: brogues
Hello: combat boots
Brogues are one of those trends that go in and out of fashion, but I prefer the look of combat boots (which are basically the boot version of brogues).
Shop my selection
Dr. Martens Jadon Platform 8-eye boots ($ 170)
Stuart Weitzman McKenzee combat boots ($ 595)
Loeffler Randall Brady stretch knit combat boots ($ 395)
Goodbye: peep toes
Hello: square toes
You won't find peep-toes in my closet, but the 90s-inspired square toes basically got into them.
Shop my selection
Manu Atelier lace sandals ($ 317)
Jaggar jump double strap flats ($ 128)
By far Snake Embossed Slide Sandal ($ 446)
Goodbye: clogs
Hello: mules
Since I once fell down a flight of stairs and broke my ankle while wearing clogs, I'm done with it. Mules, on the other hand, are a style that I never tire of.
Shop my selection
Topshop Joel Leather Black Square Closed Mules ($ 115)
Zara Heeled Leather Sandals ($ 100)
Malone Souliers 45mm Devon Mules ($ 795)
Goodbye: round-toe shoes
Hello: crystal decorated shoes
Round-toe shoes are a style that I left behind a few years ago, and crystal-embellished shoes are one that I recently adopted (because they are pretty).
Shop my selection
Area Crystal Fringe Kitten Heels ($ 300)
Chloe Gosselin 110mm Tori sandals ($ 556)
Steven Jersey slides ($ 131)
Goodbye: gloves
Hello: logo shoes
Although not usually affordable, the logo shoe trend (which shows no signs of slowing down) is a personal favorite of mine. Gloves, on the other hand, are a style that I pulled back after peaking a few years ago.
Shop my selection
Alexander Wang 65mm Jessie sandals ($ 645)
Chloé Chloé Loafers ($ 502)
Gucci leather thong sandals with Double G ($ 495)
Goodbye: Flatform sandals
Hello: artificial boots
High flat sandals don't really fit the rest of my wardrobe, but faux leather boots (e.g. crocodile, snake, and lizard) have become my favorites this fall and winter.
Shop my selection
Paige Willa Snake Roccia boots ($ 210)
Ganni western boots ($ 475)
