The Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers go head-to-head this weekend in northeast Ohio. As quarterback Jacoby Brissett takes on former teammate Tom Brady this weekend, he reminisces about their time together early in his career with the New England Patriots.
He described himself as "that kid who was annoying as hell" while trying to learn how to be a professional quarterback from North Carolina State. Akron Beacon Journal's Chris Easterling covered the story in full:
"I was this kid that was annoying as hell and kind of just, wherever he went I tried to follow him, the places I could go and just tried to get as much information... And even during the games talked." i only talk to him about things like that he saw about certain things. Not always, of course, because the game is a bit different, but I was one of those guys who tried to be a sponge.”
As for Brady telling him to back off or leave him alone?
"He probably did, but I probably said something to him anyway..."
