James Corden Reveals The Best Life Advice He Got From Cher
After actress Melissa McCarthy gave her some advice on Wednesday on "The Late Late Show," she and her 9 Perfect Strangers co-star Nicole Kidman asked host James Corden to contribute his own .
Corden didn't hesitate: do what Cher would do, he said, because she had "the best advice."
“She has this great thing when she says if you are on a spinning mill or really angry and stressed out, ask yourself: does this matter in a year? And if in a year it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. And if you think it will be important in a year, it is important, ”he said.
We're happy that the "Believe" singer gave Corden some peace of mind, but he may have misunderstood her advice. In a 2018 interview with talk show host Graham Norton, Cher spoke of a tip her mom gave her: "If it doesn't matter five years from now, it doesn't matter."
Uh, what's a few years difference?
Check out the video below. (Fast forward to the 5:52 mark for the Cher segment.)
