James Harden responds to allegations of COVID protocol breach
Houston Rockets star James Harden responded on Instagram to reports of his alleged violation of the NBA's new COVID-19 protocols. If it is confirmed that Harden has broken the rules of the league, he could be forced to miss Wednesday night's regular season opener at the Toyota Center.
Harden denied that the event was held at a strip club, as reported by ESPN's Tim MacMahon on Twitter. Harden was featured in a viral video on social media interacting. Here is the rest of his message:
One after the other. I went to show love to my homegirl at their event (not a strip club). Because she's going to be a boss and putting her people in positions of success, and now it's a problem.
It's different every day. No matter how many times people try to get my name under them, you can't. The real always ends at the top.
As of Wednesday lunchtime, the NBA hadn't decided on Harden's situation and whether it would force him to miss any games.
