Jersey Shore : Angelina's Husband Chris Wonders If Their Life Would Have Been 'Easier' Without Fame
Jersey Shore's most important others offer a rare glimpse into what it is like to meet someone in public.
In PEOPLE's exclusive Thursday episode preview of Jersey Shore's: Family Vacation, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's wife Lauren, Angelina Pivarnick's husband Chris Larangeira, Deena Cortese's husband Christopher Buckner, Jenni "JWoww" Farley's fiancé Zack Clayton Carpinello, and Pauly D. DelVecchio's friend Nikki Hall meets for dinner without the roommates.
"It's definitely nice to have this one-on-one time with significant other," says Lauren. "I have never had this experience with any of them, not even with some that I have known for years."
Once seated, the discussion inevitably revolves around what they all have in common. "I don't know about you guys, but I feel like I am a meaningful different from someone in public. It takes a while to get my groove on," says Lauren. “You have to find out what works for you. We set up our home for me - it's like our safe space. For example, we went to my mother's 60th birthday last summer. I got a picture with Mike from all night because everyone grabbed him to take pictures. "
Everyone else agrees that time at home - without fans or cameras - is sacred. “I love that we are the way we are at home,” says Nikki. "A lot of people think Pauly and I have just started dating."
"Yeah, because you're private," Lauren notes. "I like it."
“I focus on the partnership first and then on everything else,” adds Zack. "Like all external s --- I don't mind."

As for Chris, whose rocky relationship with Angelina was a topic of discussion this season? He can't help but wonder what her life would have been like without the show.
"It's a little different for me ... because I first made friends with Angelina before she was even on Jersey Shore," he says. "I knew her before the show even existed. We weren't close friends, but we were friends."
“We started dating years later when she was in an emergency room. We actually got engaged before she even got back to Family Vacation, ”he continues. "We were going to just have a normal family without all of that."

And he is well aware of some of the pitfalls of fame, including fans who constantly recognize his wife and ask for pictures.
"Without that, there would be just me and Angelina and our family," he says. "We would probably have had a child by now."
"Do you almost wish it was the same as it was before?" asks Zack.
"You know what, sometimes I think so," admits Chris. "I almost think without the fame, without the money, it might be a little easier."
