Jets' Adam Gase hates the route Le'Veon Bell took liking tweets: 'Seems to be the way guys want to do it nowadays'

Adam Gase / Le'Veon Bell
Le'Veon Bell's return to the field wasn't the biggest headline around the Pro Bowl, which ran back on Sunday.
After the Jets suffered their fifth straight defeat, Bell liked tweets saying head coach Adam Gase needed to use him for more than the one goal he achieved in the passing game. He also liked a tweet that suggested it should be traded.
During a conference call with reporters on Monday, Gase elaborated on Bell's actions, saying he wished frustrated players would just come to him instead of voicing their opinions on social media.
"I hate that we're going this route instead of just talking to me about it, but that's how the guys want to do it these days," said Gase.
While Gase may not like the way Bell went on, he understands why he - along with the rest of the team - is frustrated at the moment.
"No, I haven't had a chance to talk to him about these specific topics. It is what it is," Gase explained. "I know he's frustrated that we didn't win. Wasn't exactly the plan not to target him in the passing game. It was just kind of like that because they played us. That's it. You just have to try to find ways to get the soccer ball moving. That's all we're trying to do. Doesn't always go exactly as planned.
“I get the point that players get frustrated when they feel they should be more targeted or more touched. A lot of people feel this way and we just have to go back to work and figure out how to involve our people. "
Gase was specifically asked if Bell liked the tweet relating to a deal, and he replied that he and GM Joe Douglas only discussed the 30-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and nothing else.
The Jets obviously know what Bell can do on the offensive, but as Gase put it, "Sometimes the defense takes people away." Jamison Crowder was the Jets' best weapon on Sunday as he completed another week with over 100 yards of reception and a touchdown.
Bell, on the other hand, had 60 yards for 13 stretches on his return, while his only reception was seven yards.
