Jim Acosta Goes All Out In Assessment Of 'Bulls**t Factory' Fox News

CNN's Jim Acosta said Fox News has stepped up coverage of "cockamamie made-up nonsense" since the 2020 election in an effort to win back viewers, generate outrage and increase audience ratings.
In a conversation on Mediaite's "The Interview," published this week, the CNN anchor spoke about the consequences of Fox News' Arizona election night decision to call out for Joe Biden. The call, which turned out to be correct, aroused the ire of then-President Donald Trump.
Two executives involved in this decision were on Fox News shortly thereafter. Nonetheless, the network saw ratings plummet after the election, and Trump repeatedly advised supporters of the far-right alternatives OAN and Newsmax.
Acosta said the network had a moment there to "get back to the real world," but instead it became "more fox-like and trumpeting."
"They've since decided to do what I call the shit factory," said Acosta. “They produce segments that create outrage that they know will upset their viewers and so on. Even if cockamamie is made up nonsense. And for the simple reason to attract viewers and increase the audience. "
From Acosta's point of view, it is necessary to cover the violations of the network in order to hold its employees and guests accountable.
"I've thought about it long and hard and my attitude is that we have to talk about it, we have to report it," he said. “Do we have to do this every hour of the day? No, we don't. But when Trump or his lackeys go on Fox and spit this nonsense about the election and they are not checked in real time, then they are acting as propagandists. And they are doing something bad for this country. "
Acosta often reports on Fox News during its weekend anchor slot, recently accusing it of "obsessing over the abandon culture" and generating "false outrage" while silencing anyone who does not propagate Trump's lies about the 2020 election .
