Jimmy Kimmel announces he's taking the summer off and Matt Damon is not happy

On Thursday, Jimmy Kimmel gave Live! Kimmel announced that he will take the rest of the summer off. After a two-week break, the hosts will fill in until he returns.
"I take the summer off to spend more time with my family," said Kimmel. "I've been doing this job for almost 18 years, I've done 3,130 shows and there's nothing wrong - my family is healthy, I'm healthy, I only need a few months off."
The news was quite a shock to a celebrity, Matt Damon. Since 2005 there has been a recurrent joke that Matt Damon is waiting behind the stage for the show, but cannot because the time is running out. In fact, Jimmy ends every show by apologizing to Damon.
Damon, wearing a bathrobe and sipping some kind of whiskey, came in from a room behind Kimmel during the vacation announcement. Damon was upset because he said he had waited three months in this room to be on the show.
The funny play ended when Kimmel's wife, Molly McNearney, sneaked out of Damon's room. When Kimmel confronted Damon why his wife was in the room, Damon knowingly replied, "Why do you think she was in the room?"
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be broadcast on ABC on weekdays at 11:35 p.m.
Watch "Bachelorette" Kaitlyn Bristowe find out that she will be attending "DWTS":
"Bachelorette" Kaitlyn Bristowe is shocked to find out that she will be on "DWTS".
During Monday The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons - Ever !, Season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe got the surprise of her life. Bristowe learned that she will compete in season 29 of Dancing With the Stars. For years Bristowe has been hoping to appear on the show since 2015. In 2017, she had a public conflict with bachelor creator Mike Fliess, who would not allow her to appear on the competitive dance show after appearing on his dating show. Bristowe will follow in the footsteps of former bachelor candidate Trista Sutter and last season's DWTS champion Hannah Brown. Bristowe seemed quite shocked when host Chris Harrison asked if she wanted to join the cast. "Yes yes yes yes!" exclaimed Bristowe, "I am so honored to say yes!" Bristow has a dance background, so she should do well in the competition. She also has a large fan base that was thrilled to hear the news. It is probably safe to say that she will have the votes to make it deep into the competition regardless of dance moves.
