Jin Young Ko wins CME Group Tour Championship, wraps up money title in fourth start of 2020
World number 1 Jin Young Ko made only four starts on the LPGA. She made the most of these accomplishments and, following her first win of the season at the CME Group Tour Championship, will also carry the season's money title.
Ko followed Sei Young Kim, the defending champion at the LPGA season finale, with a shot on the final day. But Ko was the first to fix that deficit on Sunday morning when she birdwatched the first hole at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
She combined a birdie with a bogey to complete the top nine, but effectively finished the title with three consecutive birdies on numbers 12-14 before adding two more on numbers 16 and 18. Ko finished the day 18 under five strokes ahead of runner-up Hannah Green and Kim.

The Tour Championship title comes in Ko's third straight week on the LPGA. She was fifth in the Volunteers of America Classic and second in the US Women's Open. The latter earned her a place in the field at the tour finals this week.
At her first event after being out for most of 2020 due to the global pandemic, Ko finished T-34 at the Pelican Women’s Championship.
South Korea's Ko won $ 1.1 million for her efforts in Naples this week. She entered the final event 13th on the money list for $ 567,925, but one final cash heist put her at the top of the list.
The two-time grand winner announced to Golfweek earlier this week that she was on the market for a home in the US and after a week at M.J. Keeping an eye on the Frisco, Texas area. She noted that she would have to make a little more money to do this.
