John Legend Shares Update on Chrissy Teigen Amid Bullying Controversy
John Legend tries to keep things positive.
While Chrissy Teigen continues to make headlines for controversial resurfaced tweets, her husband speaks out and sheds some light on her feelings. On Tuesday, June 15, The Voice coach was walking to his car in a neighborhood when a photographer asked how he was doing.
While John replied that he was "great," the questions didn't stop there. "How is Chrissy doing after all the criticism?" asked the photographer. John replied, "She is doing great."
"Take care of yourself," he added before driving away. "Have a good one."
John's testimony comes just days after Chrissy wrote an open letter on Medium expressing regret over past tweets and asking fans to be patient.
"Hello everybody. It's been a VERY humiliating couple of weeks, ”she began. “I know I was silent and Lord knows you don't want to hear from me, but I want you to know that I was sat in a hole of deserved global punishment, the ultimate 'sit here and think about it after 'you did.' There is not a day, not a single moment, that I have not felt the overwhelming weight of regret for the things I have said in the past. "

The author of Cravings continued, “There is just no excuse for my horrific tweets in the past. They don't deserve my goals, edgy sense of humor. I was a troll, period. And I'm so sorry. "

Chrissy had previously been controversial over resurfaced tweets targeting a then-teen Courtney Stodden.
According to Chrissy's post on Medium, fashion designer Michael Costello accused the Lip Sync Battle host of bullying him in 2014. The 35-year-old model has not yet publicly commented on Michael's allegations.
After his wife asked for the opportunity to "improve and change herself," John used Twitter to support Chrissy's contribution by quoting one of the closing lines from her open letter. "We are all more than our worst moments," he wrote with four heart emojis.
While John continues to support his wife, both parents seem to be focused on their family. Earlier this week, the couple celebrated Luna, 5, and Miles, 3, who were graduating from preschool. As she pondered the milestone, Chrissy thanked her for the support she received from friends and fans.
"To the people who never let up with the lyrics, to my diamond painters who wanted to give me space, the girls who wiped off the snot, and my fucking husband's skirt, my God, I love you," wrote her on Instagram. "I pray that all of our little pod toddlers will collect real specimens for their entire lives. May they forever grow and learn and maybe get a little messy in the process."
Chrissy added, “Even if you hate me, I can honestly say that I don't hate you. I send you love How annoying is that! You must be so annoyed !! the chaos going on. "
