John Travolta shares family video of his kids celebrating first Christmas since Kelly Preston's death
John Travolta and his children wished his followers a Merry Christmas on Friday, their first holiday season since Kelly Preston's death in July.
In a video posted on Instagram, the "Grease" actor showed the children Ella (20) and Benjamin (10) how they waved and addressed their fans while they were standing in front of a glittering Christmas tree and many presents.
"Say 'Merry Christmas' Ella. Say 'Merry Christmas' Ben," Travolta can be heard saying behind the camera.
Travolta, 66, was open about his personal life this holiday season, thanking others for their support following the deaths of Preston, his wife, and the mother of the children, who died in July at the age of 57 after a private battle with breast cancer.

"I just wanted to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for supporting me in such incredible ways this year," he said in a video posted on Instagram last month. "Happy Thanksgiving and always love."
Travolta and Preston met while filming "The Experts" in 1988 and were married in 1991 at a midnight ceremony in Paris. The couple had three children: daughter Ella and sons Benjamin and Jett, the latter of whom died after a seizure at the age of 16. Family was on vacation in the Bahamas in January 2009.

"It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer," said Travolta on Instagram on July 13th. "She fought a brave battle with the love and support of so many.
"Kelly's love and life will always be remembered," added Travolta in the post, saying he was planning to take some time off "to be there for my children who lost their mothers. So forgive me Advance if you haven't heard from us for a while. But please know that for the weeks and months to come, I will feel your love as we heal. "
