Amber Heard was questioned by Johnny Depp's lawyers on Tuesday while her trial is ongoing.
Heard said she knocked on a door during one fight, not seven as Depp claimed.
She said he's "not an accurate historian of what happened," given the context of his admitted drinking.
Johnny Depp, who has maintained a withdrawn expression through most of ex-wife Amber Heard's testimony during her defamation trial, burst out laughing on Tuesday afternoon when the actress claimed his version of events could not be "accurate" due to his intoxicated state .
Depp is suing Heard for defamation in a 2018 op-ed published by The Washington Post, in which Heard described her experience of the public fallout of obtaining a domestic violence-related restraining order. Heard didn't name Johnny Depp in the article, although the context of her experience linked the comment to her relationship with the actor. In his lawsuit, Depp alleged that Heard physically and verbally assaulted him throughout their relationship.
Heard countered her ex-husband and denied the allegations against her. During the course of the trial and in court documents, Heard has described at least 10 instances in which she says Depp physically abused her, often in what she described as alcohol- or drug-fuelled outbursts of anger.

Depp's lawyer questioned Heard about the details of a dispute the former couple had in Australia. (You can read the full details of what both parties said about the incident in our report here.)
During testimony early in the trial, Depp said he recalled locking himself in numerous rooms as Heard "banged on the doors and yelled obscenities." Depp also said under oath that he poured himself vodka during the argument.
In Heard's earlier statement, she said the argument began when Depp took out a bag of MDMA, although he was said to be "clean" at the time.
When Depp's attorney pressed Heard during the argument "what really happened," Heard said she "knocked on a bathroom door the first night." The attorney responded and said it was not one door but five bathroom doors and additional bedroom doors.
"Johnny is not an accurate historian of what happened during that time," Heard replied Tuesday.

This resulted in Depp laughing as he kept his face down at the table. Then he took a sip from a cup and seemed determined not to look at Heard. Earlier that day, Depp's attorney had brought up the fact that the actor purposely didn't meet Heard's eyes.
This isn't the first time Depp has laughed during his ex-wife's testimony, which includes multiple allegations of violence and sexual assault. As Insider previously reported, when Heard mentioned an "old cocaine jar" that used to sit on a table at her home, "Depp was seen in the Virginia courtroom, turning to his attorney, laughing."
