Jonah Hill and his fiancée Gianna Santos ended their relationship a little over a year after they got engaged, PEOPLE confirms.
A source tells PEOPLE that the separation between the two was consensual.
The Oscar-nominated actor, 36, and Santos, 31, got engaged last year, and PEOPLE confirmed the news in October 2019. The Now-Exes were first spotted together in August 2018 while walking together in New York.
A month before PEOPLE confirmed the two were engaged, actor Wolf of Wall Street bought a home in Santa Monica, California for $ 6.77 million, according to Variety.
During their relationship, Santos and Hill kept their romance out of the spotlight and were rarely photographed in public.

Santos graduated from Fordham University in 2011 and is currently content manager at Violet Gray, a Los Angeles-based beauty company, according to her LinkedIn account.
Santos was also the chief stylist and producer for fashion brand KITH NYC.
On her personal website, which features her portfolio, Santos revealed that she grew up in the TriBeCa neighborhood of New York.
"I've always been fascinated by creative activities like the eccentricity of fashion, the love of design and the visual representation of fashion," wrote Santos on the blurb.
She also said that her life motto in both styling and life was "always" less is more ".
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Hill has turned his attention to getting people to vote ahead of the November 3rd election.
Over the weekend, the actor shared a photo of himself enjoying a meal and wrote, "I always feel very vulnerable when I shave my beard. Please vote."
The star and his sister, actress Beanie Feldstein, continue to follow Santos on Instagram.
Earlier this month, Hill and his sister teamed up with their mother, Sharon Feldstein, to encourage people to vote.
"I'm talking to you, yes you, and I'm telling you to vote. No, I'm asking you to vote," said Sharon. "Don't look at me like that, I know I'm not your mother."
Over the weekend, Hill shared a photo of himself with a long, blond beard and wrote in the headline, "I always feel very vulnerable when I shave my beard. Please vote."
